The New American Century

When the Soviet Union fell in 1991 there was much rejoicing in the bowls of Washington DC and a new mantra was born – ‘the New American Century.’ With the removal of the Soviet Union, the American Empire was the last superpower on the block, and hence the boss of bosses with no worthy rivals to challenge its power. Therefore, the next century was going to be the century that belonged to America, and this was the new song that dominated the political pop chart, and it was sung with gusto by the American media, and reluctantly repeated around the world. Those who kicked off ‘the New American Century’ were the neo-cons (see below). In 1997, they created a think tank/bi-partisan lobby group called ‘Project for the New American Century.’ The stated goal of the ‘Project’ was “to promote American global leadership” (newamericancentury.org). The not so well published goal came to be labelled the ‘Wolfowitz Doctrine’ (named after neo-con Paul Wolfowitz, (who was primarily responsible for formulating the doctrine). The Wolfowitz Doctrine stated that America had to work hard and intervene in the world in order to ensure that no other nation or power could arise to challenge its supremacy and hegemony. Other spin-off doctrines/policies followed, such us the ‘Full Spectrum Dominance’ doctrine/policy, whereby it was determined that in order to implement the Wolfowitz Doctrine America would have to dominate land, sea, air, and space, militarily, financially, economically and geo-politically.
The New America Century began with a bang on 9/11, and we have been living with the consequences ever since. Subsequentially, we have had wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Georgia Libya, Syria, and currently Ukraine and the Middle East. The problem for the neo-cons and their Project for the New American Century is, they have not won any of these wars, and they are currently losing the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East.
Henry Kissinger once said, “It may be dangerous to be America’s enemy, but to be a friend of America, is fatal.” What could he possibly mean by that? Why would it be fatal for a nation to wrap itself in the American flag and snuggle under its outreached wings? The answer is because since the Vietnam War America has become ‘casualty adverse.’ A famous anti-Vietnam War song, included the words, “Be the first one on your block, to have your boy come home in a box.” The neo-cons have learned that if they want to keep fighting the world, they have to have someone else’s boys coming home in boxes. In other words, the neo-cons need proxy forces to do their fighting and dying for them. This is what Ukraine and Israel are for the neo-cons, they are proxy forces implementing the Project for the New American Empire for the neo-cons and for the interests of the American Empire. So, far the results have been devastating for Ukraine, they have lost well over 600,000 killed, multitudes more wounded and the country is basically destroyed.
The friend of America, Israel, has not managed to defeat Hamas in Gaza, they are already bogged down against Hezbollah in Lebanon, missiles are penetrating their supposed impenetrable iron dome missile defence, the economy is in rapid decline, 1 million Israelis have fled the country, and they are about to start a real war with Iran. This is what Kissinger meant, that it was fatal to be a friend of America, because friends of America will be used by America, whenever it is convenient for America to call upon them to implement American policy.
Another proxy that is being groomed for future American shenanigans is Taiwan – when the time is right it will be Taiwan’s privilege to fight and die for America. Other nations that have suffered being friends of America are all the members of the EU and NATO, but especially Germany. One German politician (Annalena Baerbock) stated that Germany would support Ukraine, despite the wishes of the German people – now they are paying the price. The cheap Russian energy that the German economy relied upon is no longer available, as a consequence the biggest vehicle manufacturer in the world, Volkswagen, is struggling to stay in business, and the whole Germany economy is on a downward trajectory.
It is better to be a friend of the Bible than a friend of America. We are told in the Book of Revelation that America would be nation with “two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon” (Rev. 13:11). This means that America (led by the neo-cons), is masquerading as a lamb (democracy, human rights, religious liberty etc. etc. plus). Therefore, the rhetoric (propaganda) sounds nice, philanthropic and comforting, but it is all a façade. We need to look under the bonnet (the hood) before we buy the package America is selling us. We need to let Biblical scripture open our eyes to the reality that neo-con America is.
The world’s eyes are being opened (with or without the Bible). The world is organising against America and its Project for the New American Century. Just one example is the BRICS. The nations of the world (outside of those known as the Western Nations), are organising themselves to counteract the Project for the New American Century. There is currently a great gathering of these nations in the Russian city of Kazan (22-24 October 2024). The initial members of BRICS were Russia, China, India and Brazil. Then South Africa joined. Then Iran, United Arabs Emirates, Egypt and Ethiopia became official members. There are multitudinous nations lining up to join. Others are flirting with joining – two of the flirtatious types are crucial ‘friends’ of America; Turkey (NATO member) and Saudi Arabia (the source of Petro-dollars – this is an ominous sign that even the ‘friends’ of America no longer feel comfortable under the Empire’s wings.
Therefore, in view of these obstacles, constantly popping up on the road towards the New America Century, what is the neo-con led America going to do, in order to secure its dreams of hegemony and control over the whole world? Once again, in order to answer this question, we need to be guided by what is written in Revelation – the prophecy goes on to tell us that America will succeed in dominating the world through the use of ‘miracles’ including ‘bringing fire down from heaven’ – what this means, only time will tell. However, whatever ‘miracles’ will occur and whatever ‘fire’ comes down from heaven – don’t believe it – don’t be conned by the neo-cons – they are not your ‘friends.’

Notes:
The neo-cons are American ‘thought leaders.’ They are found in all the branches of government, political parties, media, military, finance and academia. They are bi-partisan – they dominate the Democratic Party, and they are almost as influential in the Republican Party (where their influence has declined because of Donald Trump). They believe in American Manifest Destiny – that America has been destined to rule the world – and they are actively trying to make their dreams come true.
