In preparation for the ‘unprovoked’ war in Eastern Ukraine, a huge underground weapons depot was built, in the Ukrainian village of Deliatyn (close to the Romanian border). The depot was buried 170m (over 500ft) below the surface. It was protected by several layers of armoured concrete. It was built to withstand a nuclear strike. On March 19, 2022, Russia destroyed the ‘nuclear bomb proofed’ arms depot with one single kinzhal missile. Ever since this ‘game changing’ event, the western media has passed this off as ‘no big deal’ – not a ‘game changing’ incident. But it is a ‘big deal’ and it is a game changing’ event. In WWI the introduction of tanks, for the first time, was a game changing event in the history of war. In WWII the development of aircraft carriers and the projection of air power (think Pearl Harbour), was a game changing event in the history of warfare. In the same manner, in the 21st century the introduction of hypersonic missile technology, is a game changing event, in the history of warfare.
The reason why Mr. Kinzhal, is a game changing event, is because there is no defence against him. Mr. Kinzhal is a hypersonic missile, that flies so fast, it cannot be intercepted by any anti-missile systems anywhere in the world. It flies at a height of between 20 and 40 kilometers, at a speed of 5 mach (over 5 times the speed of sound). When it arrives over its disengaged target, it drops perpendicular and gathers speed up to 12 mach, before hitting the target. The kinetic energy, combined with the explosive warhead is devasting. And then there is Mr. Kinshal’s cousins, Ms Avantguard and Mr. Zircon, both hypersonic missile systems.

This 6-missile strike, was a message sent to the American led western coalition of nations. This is how the nations ‘talk’ to one another. It a game of ‘you show me yours and I’ll show you mine.’ Ever since the end of WWII, America has shown the world ‘theirs,’ in the form of aircraft carrier battle groups (currently there are 11 such battle groups in the American arsenal). These battle groups, all centred around an aircraft carrier, patrol the seas of the world, projecting power into all the corners of the earth. Mr. Kinshal, has just made all of these battle groups redundant – ‘no longer fit for purpose’ – ‘so last century’ – out of fashion‘ – ‘surplice to requirements’ – ‘so much excess baggage.’ The message of March 9, 2023 reads: “We can destroy all your aircraft carriers simultaneously, anywhere, anytime… and there is nothing you can do about it…“DO YOU REALLY WANT TO CONTINUE THIS WAR.”
It matters not, if you are pro-American and anti-Russian, or pro-Russian and anti-American. It matters not what people think or what ideology they subscribe to. Facts are annoying things for ideologues. Facts have a nasty habit of undermining people’s fantasies. And the facts are, that the only way Russia can lose the war in Ukraine, is if the Western powers decide to escalate to nuclear war. It matters not, if you fervently wish Ukraine would win. Facts are facts. Mr. Kinshal and his cousins and all the other weaponry, possessed by Russia, dictate the outcome.
The tragedy is that Ukrainians are dying needlessly. They are dying in a war they cannot win. And they are dying for the interests of other powers and not for their own interests. This is a proxy war, fought for the interests of the Western powers, for the purpose of ‘weakening’ Russia. This ‘weakening’ of Russia is a policy, openly and officially admitted to by the Biden administration. This is not a war being fought for the ‘democratically’ elected’ government of Ukraine. This is not being fought for freedom, sovereignty, human rights and blah, blah, blah… This is a war being fought for the continuance of American hegemony over the world. If the Western powers have their way, the war will continue until the last Ukrainian soldier is dead. The purpose is to weaken Russia, not defend Ukraine. But it is not working. Russia is getting stronger not weaker. Russia has Mr. Kinshal, and we have not even seen his cousins yet… Russia does not need to go nuclear. But if the West wants to win, if the Hegemon wants to continue its dominance, what options does it have? Watch this space…
